Red, the color of love and passion, silk for the softness you still offer your love.

When visiting Amsterdam I found a lovely silk, yes it has begone....
I found my love for natural fabrics making this costume, silk is a beautiful material to work with and it lights up in the pictures.
Having this stunning fabric and an on invite event I had the feeling I needed to pull it all out, and I did. 2-tone red/black silk, 3D laser cut flower lace with beads en pallets, small rib velvet fabric and swarovski crystals with glass beads.

There was so much hand work going on in this project, cutting and sewing the lace, pleating, making the settings for the swarovski crystals and create earrings and a necklace out of them, hand fold the red roses on the hat and much more that isn't even visible anymore. all in all I love this outfit and I'm kinda sad I only worn it twice.
